07/07/2010 - Sunrise, FL (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Florida Panthers signed defenseman Nathan Paetsch to a one-year contract and re-signed blueliner Jason Garrison to a two-year deal on Wednesday.

The 27-year-old Paetsch has seven goals and 35 assists in 167 career games with Buffalo and Columbus.

Garrison, 25, has recorded two goals and eight points in 40 career games with the Panthers.

The most interesting game of the opening week will feature the NFC champion Bears as they hit the road to take on the NFL’s top team during last year’s regular season, the San Diego Chargers.
